Rocketeer, The

Rocketeer, The (1991) IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: In the years leading up to World War II, stunt pilot Cliff Secord takes a trial run in a Gee Bee racing aircraft to prepare for an upcoming air show. But he accidentally comes into possession of a rocket-propelled backpack much coveted by the Nazis. With the aid of his mechanic pal, he gets it up and running, then uses it to foil a plot by a gang of vicious Nazi spies led by Timothy Dalton. Jennifer Connelly is on hand as the love interest, but the real fun here is when the Rocketeer takes off. Idiot boys and their stupid rice rocket toys…?
Ok, so I was on my home from running a few errands in town and I decide to take the freeway home. So I’m putting along at 65, doing the speed limit when all of a sudden I look in my left side mirror and see four cars coming up fast behind me. There’s other cars too, fellow traffic.

So anyway, they fly by me doing AT LEAST 90 and they’re those little obnoxious sub compact Japanese cars with the wings and loud exhaust… fast and furious kinda cars. They start screwing around while they’re driving, racing, cutting people off, brake checking each other and whatnot when suddenly the guy driving the red Honda CRX rear ends some lady in a Ford Escape and turns, slamming head on into the guardrail. That guy gets into that wreck and I slam on my brakes and shoot onto the shoulder to avoid hitting one of THE OTHER idiots, then I slide sideways and hit the guardrail also putting a nasty scratch in my fender and side.

Anyway, po-po, firetruck, ambulance show up and start taking statements from people involved (witnesses) and as I’m waiting for a cop to come up and take a statement from me, one of the rice rocketeers comes up to me and asks if I’m ok. I tell him I’m a little shaken up but that’s it. Then this guy has the BALLS to ask me for my number!!! WTF!?

I am SO pissed off at the moment, I tell him, "you f**king idiots just caused your buddy to get in a nasty wreck and you’re asking me for my f**king number? You are SO f**king lucky there’s a damn cop standing over there or I would seriously beat the living sh*t out of you! Not to mention I hit the rail and f**ked up my own car because of you guys? You wanna ask me again dumbass?"

Ok, so it was a long read… I’m sorry. But my question is…

Why in the hell would ANY guy do that, especially after his friend is sitting in the front seat with his face splattered against the dashboard and windshield of a car? Any explanations??

Cause he thinks he is hella sick for driving a rice rocket. Actually its sorta funny cause at my school all the kids that drive pocket rockets are the safe drivers, cause they are the ones that actually paid for their car and have had to work for it. All the rich boys, whose daddy’s bought them their BMW’s and etc. are the obnoxious ones. They are the ones who always show off and drive recklessly cause they have no idea what it actually means to EARN something.

EDIT: lol, This reminded me of a kid at my school who is 16, just got his license, and in less than 2 months he totaled a brand new Land Rover LR3. Afterward his parents bought him a new Cadillac Escalade. Yea I know wtf…?

BTW I drive a 94 Civic that I payed for completely (insurance, gas, and etc).
