Does anyone know of any haunted places?
Through my extensive studies in anthropology, I’ve developed a keen interest on paranormal activity. I’m about to graduate from college in a couple of weeks. Two places I’m hellbent on visiting are the Winchester House in San Jose and Lizzie Borden’s house in Fall River, Massachusetts. I also want to visit Roswell, New Mexico. All that creepy stuff really excites me. Anyway, does anyone know of any other haunted places like that? Not just in America, but around the world? I’m making a list of all the creepy places I’d love to visit because I’m looking into grad school right now. I’m interested in doing parapsychology and writing my thesis somewhere that has supernatural activity.
Would anybody mind answering one of these three questions, too?

How wonderful for you to be at the beginning of this very interesting and surprising journey into the paranormal. I have had experiences since the age of 3 or 4 so my life has been full of this without looking for it. I have been to the Winchester mystery House. As a young woman I came away with a feeling of fear which seemed to permeate the home through the spirit of Sarah herself. She was of diminutive stature and was afraid of almost everything after her husband and only child died. I being 6′2" myself have never felt so afraid as I was for days after my visit. There is said to be the spirits of workmen who still inhabit the place but I had no experience with them. I would suggest that if you are going to California that you might like to pay a visit to Georgetown. It was a mining town called Growlersgurg originally and there are spirits all around. Most notably at the Georgetown Hotel. Have fun and good luck with your work. Peace&Love be with you…~M~

I’ve heard that Leap Castle in Ireland is haunted. Try looking up places that The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) has visited, and then maybe you can go check out those places.

Winchester House is an interesting place to tour, doubt you will see any ghosts, but you will find out what crazy people who have lots of money do when they think if they don’t stop building on their house they will never die.
If you do a google.. Haunted House and then location, I am sure you will find dozens in the area you are looking.

Probably the Condemned Mental Institutions, Prisons and Cemeteries would maybe be considered as a good choice for haunted places – I have been hearing from a couple of friends of mine that souls of people who die in these places usually stay behind in these places and sometimes never make it to heaven.

To my knowledge I know that A mental Institution is a very scary place to go a visit – For the fact that when I went to visit my aunt at the mental Institution that she was committed to, I immediately felt scared as heck and very uncomfortable as if I could not breathe and just by looking at how the environment of that place was very uncomfortable for me – Probably because it was my first time visiting this place.

- But then again that is just me –

Now if you are looking in to going for something that would require supernatural activities then Yeah, I would definitely say go for it and try these places out ! If you are very brave and interested in doing "Parapsychology" Then this will definitely be the best profession for you, and you will see how greatly successful you will be in this profession and you will absolutely be able to make lots of money for yourself.

I hope this information helps you out ! Good Luck !!! :)

Waverly Hills Sanatorium, somewhere in America
***St. Augustine Light House, Florida (my personal fav)***
Eastern State Penn, somewhere in America
Hell Fire Caves, somewhere in England
GoldFeild Hotel, i think Virginia
Titanic
This one isn’t probably very good, but they have ghost tours in the summer and have a book full of pics of ppl who saw or heard something, and it’s an actually hotel and u can spend the night at it – The Bullock Hotel, Deadwood SD

All of these places (besides Bullock) are from Ghost Hunters, i’ve watched every episode and St. Augustine FL scared the sh!t out of me and it made my legs go numb 4 a sec. What happened, is they had a camera at the base of the lighthouse, shooting up and they caught a apparition actually climbing the stair and ending up at the top and IT LOOKED OVER THE RAILING!!! U could clearly see a human figure look over, head and shoulders. Then it went to the right and disappeared! They went there twice too, but i can’t remember what they got form the 2nd investigation, but it was better than the one before. The ghost’s at St. Augustine are NOT afraid to show themselves and interact w/ u! GO THERE!!

Srry i didn’t know where everything was

hoped i helped and have FUN!!! :)

In England you could try visiting any number of former WW2 R.A.F and U.S.A.A.F bases. The control towers (those that are still standing) are usually said to be the main haunted areas. Lakenheath, Binbrooke, Kelstern, Tangmere, Biggin Hill. Scotland boasts many famous haunted castles and locations such as Glamis Castle, Hermitage Catle (has that grim look to it), and Sandwood Bay that is haunted by a 19th century sailor and has a nearby ruined haunted cottage. Hope that snippet helps you out a bit

Well, teh TV told me that the shut down old hotel, called Goldfield Hotel (I believe), is supposedly one of the most haunted places on Earth. In fact, it holds (in the basement) on of the "7 portals to the other worlds".
Which sounds pretty f**king awesome to me.
Its in Virginia City, Nevada (not Virginia haha). However, its shut down adn just about nobody is let in, so you migth wanna grab a few friends, maybe some cameras, and pretend to have a TV show where you document ghosts (who doesn’t these days?) I believe its owned by old people so they might not notice you’re lying.

About the Winchester Mystery house, I live liek half an hour away, and I’ve been there, its not great. Actually, it was very UNghostly, and thats from a squeamish 8 year old girl (when I went). If they let you in at night if you say your some important person (see above), maybe it’d be worth it, but frankly, disappointing.
I’ve also been to Alcatraz, of course, and it was much creepier, and I kinda suggest it more, but only if you can go when there are no tourists. And again, grab some friends, I fear for your sanity. (When I say this, I’m not a nutcase, just that when you are alone its not that yoru mind will play tricks on you, but you will build up this idea of being frightened… you know what I mean, you’re graduating college in parapsychology and I’m just a freshman in highschool, haha.)
Other places uhmmm… well New Orleans is supposedly the most haunted city ever… I’m goign on vacation there in a week.. I’ll email you if I find anything worth it. (I hope you have your email set to viewable).
Anyway… sounds frickign awesome. I envy you.
I’ll email you when I get back from New Orleans (I promise) (I’m not a creep!)
xD tah!
